Valerie Akers, Doctor of Pharmacy, graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy in 2002 and brings over two decades of diverse pharmacy experience to her practice. Her career includes roles in hospital pharmacy, consulting, retail pharmacy with major chains, and pharmacy management. In 2006, Valerie took her passion for personalized patient care to the next level by opening Parkview Pharmacy, where she focuses on helping patients live healthier, longer lives. She is a strong advocate for medication adherence and compliance, educating her community on how vital it is to maximize the benefits of their medications.
Beyond the pharmacy, Valerie is dedicated to supporting her community. She actively participates in local school fundraisers, supports youth sports teams, and is committed to making a positive impact on the health and well-being of those around her.
A Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician who has been with Parkview Pharmacy for more than 14 years. She is a licensed Respiratory Therapist with experience in prescription order/entry, insurance billing, inventory management and medication therapy management. Marleana ensures that accuracy and precision goes into every prescription.
A National Certified Pharmacy Technician who has been with Parkview Pharmacy for over 16 years. She is experienced in claim billing, reconciliation, medication therapy management, and medication synchronization to name a few. She is also certified to give vaccines through Immunization Certification Program for Pharmacy Technicians.
A Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician who has been with us the longest, since the day we opened in 2006. Wendi specializes in prescription order and entry, inventory management and billing. She is a Parata Max specialist and our pharmacy supplies champion. Wendi utilizes technology to minimize errors and improve patients experiences.
With five years of experience, she is a seasoned pharmacy cashier and technician. She plays a vital role in smooth daily operations in the pharmacy. Dotty specializes in greeting customers warmly and provides a positive interaction for patients inquiring about over-the-counter items.
A skilled and experienced pharmacy technician who has been with Parkview Pharmacy for more than 4 years. She specializes in compliance packaging and operational management. Emily ensures accuracy and efficiency in patient medication regimens and contributes to the smooth functioning of the pharmacy team.
A highly versatile and valuable member of the team, Carla excels in multiple roles that range from personal assistant to OTC (Over-The-Counter) product manager, and delivery driver. Her ability to adapt to various responsibilities makes her a cornerstone of the pharmacy's daily operations and and essential contributor to our success.
